Stunning Locations for Maternity Photos near Denver
Are you searching for the perfect spot to take your maternity photos? Whether you’re a pregnant mom in Denver, or an out-of-towner planning a babymoon in the beautiful state of Colorado, I have you covered!
Finding the perfect location for a maternity photoshoot in Colorado can be overwhelming. There are so many stunning locations to choose from. Here are some of my favorite locations for maternity photos that are within about 30 minutes of the Denver metro area. These locations are sure to be amazing backdrops for your outdoor maternity photoshoot.
Roxborough State Park
This gorgeous state park with unique red rock formations and foothill views is located about 30 minutes southwest of Denver, in Littleton, Colorado. The hiking paths are wide and relatively level, making this location great for young children. However, no dogs are allowed in this park. If you have a fur-baby that you want to include in your photos, you may want to opt for a different option.
Castlewood Canyon
If you live south or east of Denver, or you’re looking for a variety of scenery for your photoshoot, this state park would be a great option for you. Located near Castle Rock and Parker, this location also has unique rock features, in addition to areas of water and tall grass. There are also patches of pine trees and views of the distant mountains and plains.
Boulder Flatirons
The Boulder Flatirons are an iconic backdrop for any photoshoot. Boulder has many trails that meander along the flatirons, offering views of this unique mountain range. Most trails are very easy, family-friendly walks, so this is another great option if you have siblings joining in the fun. You can find beautiful wildflowers along the flatirons in the spring, and aspen patches in the fall.
Genesee Park
Near this area of Evergreen, Colorado, you can find more classic Colorado backdrops, like snow-capped mountains and large pine forests. There are a variety of trails in this area, some with more expansive views than others. The pine trees are the main benefit of shooting near Evergreen, as the town very much lives up to its name.
So, there you have it! Now you have a few starting points for finding the perfect location for your maternity shoot. Your maternity photographer will likely have experience shooting at these locations, and may even have specific trail recommendations for each of these areas, so be sure to check in with them. If they’re like me, they likely have some special secret gems, too!
