Creative Spaces for Newborn Lifestyle Sessions in Denver
Newborn lifestyle sessions focus on natural posing for Baby and capture candid moments for growing families. Often, these sessions take place in clients’ homes. While your home may be the most natural place for your newborn lifestyle shoot, if you aren’t a fan of the idea of using your own home, there are plenty of other options to consider for a newborn lifestyle session in Denver.
Option 1: Book a Local Studio
Denver is a great place to be if you’re looking for a place to take newborn photos, because there are an abundance of studios which photographers can rent on an hourly basis for photo shoots. There are modern studios, studios with farmhouse or rustic vibes, minimalist studios, and studios with dramatic color and decor. Whatever your vibe may be, your photographer is likely to have an option that fits what you’re looking for.
When it comes to taking newborn photos in-studio, my personal favorite spaces are Realm Studio in Denver and Blooms on 23 in Windsor. Realm has clean, minimal vibes that are sure to place focus where it should be – on Baby! Blooms on 23 is a whimsical greenhouse space which gives any shoot dreamy vibes. Below is a photo of this space.
Option 2: Book an AirBnB
AirBnBs are another great options for photoshoots! Your photographer can help you find one that will photograph well as a backdrop for your newborn photos. Don’t worry too much about the space not being your own, as the focus won’t be on the space, but on the connection between you and Baby. If the space has some nice seating options and, more importantly, beautiful light, that is all that matters.
Pro tip: Photographers also have access to a website call Home Studio List which offers many beautiful homes for rent by the hour. Think of it as a cross between a studio and an AirBnB, and there are several of these homes listed in the Denver area!
Option 3: Opt for Outdoor Newborn Photos
Calling all nature lovers, newborn lifestyle photos CAN be done outdoors! For my outdoor newborn shoots, I prefer to find locations that are scenic but also have plenty of comfortable spaces for sitting, as I like to use many seated poses for newborn photos. Your photographer might have a Moses basket that can work well for outdoor newborn photos. Just make sure that everyone brings plenty of layers to the shoot, especially Baby. Keeping your newborn warm and cozy can make or break a newborn shoot.
There you have it! If you aren’t a fan of in-home newborn photos, I hope you consider these options for your newborn lifestyle shoot. If you’re still on the hunt for a Denver newborn photographer, you can check out my portfolio here.
